I’m not a vegetarian. That being said, I do not “crave” meat products except for the occasional shrimp or calamari.
One thing I discovered about weight loss: less meat and more vegetables in the diet resulted in greater and faster weight loss. Weekly main meals now comprise of two or three meals with meat products and the rest of the main meals are vegetable products including tofu. If I had to cook for only myself, I’d reduce meat meals to once a week or less. My family does not agree with me on that choice.
